Bonnie Weiland Hare, President of Hare Career and College Consulting LLC has been in education for 35 years.

As an Independent Educational Consultant, Bonnie is a skilled professional, providing strategic counseling to help students and families find colleges or university programs that offer a "goodness of fit" by fostering the student's academic and social growth.

Bonnie prides herself in taking the necessary time to work with a student and family so they can process all the information and details about a college decision effectively and accurately. She attended the Independent Educational Consultant Association's "Practices and Principles Institute," and, as an Associate Member, of IECA, adheres to the Principles of Good Practice in the delivery of her consulting services.

Over her 35 year career, Bonnie was a high school English and history teacher for three years and a high school guidance director for 15 years.  With 17 years of extensive experience as a counselor at the college level, she offers a wealth of knowledge and experiences that directly contribute to her work as an independent educational consultant, including work in personal and therapeutic counseling, career and admissions counseling and certifications in various assessment instruments.

Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Science – Guidance and Counseling Degree from University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh.  Her doctorate work is from the University of Wisconsin- Madison. She belongs to key professional educational associations on the local, state, regional and national levels, and has held offices on all these levels.  These organizations include:
